The Importance of Protecting the Planet and Prioritising Human Health and Wellbeing

Restore Nature and Follow the Progress First Hand

The health of the planet is intimately connected with the health of humans. The environment provides us with the air we breathe, the water we drink, and the food we eat. Therefore, as we look to nurture our wellbeing, we must also look at how we can look after our planet too.

That’s why we are delighted to announce our latest partnership with Sumthing: a social enterprise on the mission to make donating to nature accessible, engaging and meaningful. Via their platform, users can engage with programs which aim to restore ecosystems, reverse climate change and revitalise biodiversity from the comfort of their home. Sumthing’s mission aligns with pirkx entirely, and together we hope to accelerate our goal of positively impacting one million lives by 2025.

The partnership between pirkx and Sumthing.org creates a unique opportunity for businesses to make a positive impact on both their employees and the planet. Through providing wellbeing support to their workers, employers will also be able to offer them accessible routes through which they can care for the planet too.

To celebrate this partnership, we have engaged with their project to restore rainforests in Brazil by purchasing a tree to be planted in the area. Engaging with the project was quick and easy, and we were able to see the breakdown of costs within minutes – letting us know exactly how, when, where and why we were contributing to the cause.

Engaging with projects like these remind us that by protecting the environment, we can improve our own health and wellbeing, as well as that of future generations, and we are proud that our partnership with Sumthing will help individuals find accessible way to protect our planet.
