The State Opening of Parliament - Our Key Takeaways

"My Government will seek a new partnership with both business and working people and help the country move on from the recent cost of living challenges by prioritising wealth creation for all communities."

As you may have seen, a raft of bills has been announced this week in the King’s Speech, many of which align with the pirkx mission – to make wellbeing resources and a financial education a fundamental human right.

We are glad to see the commitment to ban exploitative worker practices, enhance employment rights, improve mental health, and raise standards in education and children's wellbeing. We know firsthand how much these issues matter to our customers and our society.

We hope and are excited to see concrete actions and tangible results from these proposals.

We also urge the government to explore new technologies and collaborate with innovative and new start-up businesses for creative solutions and opportunities to make these pledges a reality.
